February 2022. Work nearing completion on the giant stainless steel ‘Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow’ statue in the town’s Coronation Park which has been designed and built by artist John McKenna as a tribute to Inverclyde’s shipbuilding past.
When installed, the figures will measure 10 metres (33 feet) in height with a combined weight of 14 tonnes.

2021 October. A Mandarin duck at the Washington Wetland Centre which is a wetland reserve managed by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Washington, Tyne and Wear, North East England. Established in 1975, its wildlife includes swans, geese, ducks, a family of Asian short clawed otters and a flock of Chilean flamingos.
